Garena's gaming division, based in Singapore, has claimed that, in addition to perfecting the gameplay, fully localising the Free Fire India experience will take some time

Garena, The Singapore-based gaming conglomerate, has decided to delay the highly anticipated release of its battle royale title, Free Fire India, for a few more weeks,' the business revealed on September 4.

The game, which had been on a two-and-a-half-year hiatus due to national security concerns, was set to be released for download in India on September 5. It's worth mentioning that Garena is still selling a more expensive version called 'Free Fire Max,' which hasn't been suspended by Indian authorities.The firm is delaying the release of Free Fire India to improve gameplay and give fans the best possible experience.

In a statement, they said, "Apart from improving gameplay, we are taking some more time to fully localize the Free Fire India experience."

On August 31, Garena announced the official launch of Free Fire India, naming former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni as its brand ambassador.

Here is the official statement from Garena regarding the latest developments: "We are thrilled with the fantastic response from our Indian community on the announcement of the Free Fire India launch. To ensure we can offer the best possible experience to all of our Free Fire India fans from the start, we will postpone the launch by a few more weeks.

In addition to refining the gameplay, we are taking some time to fully complete our localisation of the Free Fire India experience. We would like to thank the Free Fire India community for their unwavering support. We ask for your patience as we strive to deliver the best possible battle royale experience.


What's new in Free Fire India?

Garena claimed it had engaged in Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the face of Free Fire India and would feature in the game as a playable character named ‘Thala’.

The game will also have numerous new features to assist players in achieving Grandmaster, the highest rank in Free Fire awarded to the top 300 players in a region. 

Free Fire India, like BattleGrounds Mobile India, will apply 'playtime limits' and encourage players to 'Take a Break' if they are playing for an extended period of time. Furthermore, the Singapore-based corporation will inform consumers that the game is set in a virtual environment.
